4 out of 5 just opened the box!

the ipv4 is sexy… cant wait to try it out with my new atlantis 2 tank. very disappointed it did not come with a charging cable as advertised… I really think ipv needs to correct the problem by sending everyone who has purchased the mod and the instruction manual says a charging cable is in the box a charging cable

This is no charging cable. Only for updates. Needs a DC cable for charging.

    5 out of 5 IPV4

First off, customer service! I cannot give enough credit to Origin Vape for their excellent customer service. Every email was responded to within an hour, EVEN AT 2AM! Super helpful staff, item was delivered within 3 days of placing the order after closing hours, and item was very well packaged in the mail (all items were bubble wrapped, within the bubble mailer, no shortage of effort to keep customers happy).

    Now onto the mod itself.
The PROs: very well designed. Sleek sturdy metal case that has some weight to it, feels good in the hand, and i feel like if i dropped it a few times it would still work perfectly. The form fits the hand perfectly either way you hold it. The battery cover (which i originally thought was to be metal) is a plastic/synthetic material, which upon further inspection seems quite durable despite its slight flexibility when off the mod…which could prove positive in the long run after many months of constant use. Display readout is crisp and easy to read, and there are no visible lines for the actual screen, very sleek. Firing button is a perfect size and has a good “click” to it…as well as the +/- buttons. All of which are recessed into the side of the body, so laying it “face down” will not actuate any of them (excellent safety feature). Adjustable 510 works like a charm, and the flange the RDA/Tank sits on is flush (no gap) and looks as if they are 1 piece.

The CONs: on no fault of Origin Vape, the instruction manual P4Y speaks of a charging cord (what P4Y has promised), which is not included, but they do give the specs on it so a visit to radio shack should get everyone going. And temp control is acquired through an update.

All in all I highly recommend this item, ive waited since christmas for this mod specifically…dual 18650’s, easy to remove batt cover, built in charger port, fires down to 0.1 ohms, and goes to 100 watts. it was worth the wait. Thanks Origin!!

Please God, don’t use the 9V charging method. Spend 25 bucks and get the NiteCore intellicharge i2!

4 out of 5 Solid Box, Temp control works well.

Been playing with this mod for about a week or so.

Build quality is solid. No major gaps in the seams. The mirrored screen is the biggest con to the build. It is fine indoors or at night, and is almost impossible to see outside in the sun. There have been posts of ways to fix this issue, which you can easily research on your own if interested, though I do believe this will void any warranty you have.

The menu system is intuitive and easy to learn. I was disappointed to see there is no button lock feature, but haven’t had any firing or major wattage adjustment issues with it in my pocket.

Power mode works well and fires all my attys very well.

Temperature (Joules) mode does have a little bit of a learning curve and there may be a few hiccups along the way. Make sure to lock the resistance on your atty after it is juiced up and has been sitting apart from the device to get an accurate “cold” reading when setting the resistance. Also, the device will read a “short!” error even with high joules if the firing voltage is very low. This is easily fixed by bumping up the temperature limit on the device. My best guess as to why this happens is because the device will hit the temp either before or at the voltage the device will be firing from it’s resting state.

Overall, after learning how to get the most from joules mode, the ipv4 has been a joy to use and I would consider it a solid option for anyone looking to get into the temp control game. It is comfortable to hold, feels solid, and has a few improvements over the ipv3 in design and functionality.

4 out of 5 Nice upgrade to the Sigelei 100.

I got this as an upgrade for my Sigelei 100, because the Sig 100 does not have temp control and it is a big mother to carry around day to day, and it was a great choice. It’s smaller, lighter and has all the features of the Sig 100 and more. The 5 memory settings for non temp control coils makes it easy to swap tanks and to change settings when breaking in a new Arctic coil. The slide off door makes changing batteries a snap. The only hits are the black PV coating on the edges has worn off relatively quickly, and the joules setting doesn’t save when you change batteries. Other than that, it’s a great mod and Origin’s price is the best I have found for a non sale mod. A definite recommend to new vapers looking to get into the 100 watt box mod arena and to experienced vapers looking for a new full featured 100 watt mod.

    5 out of 5 IPV4 Black

I’ve had this item for a about a week now and have been extremely happy with my purchase. The price was great. The Item arrived a day earlier than expected and was in perfect shape.

I’m still learning about the device, but right out of the box, the IPV4 has improved my vaping experience. I’m not a smoker. I’m a dipper, and I needed something that would magnify the whole vaping experience. Something that would give me the most out of my atty’s and e-juice. This device did just that.
