The Holmes V2 RDA builds on Cigreen’s Holmes V1. The V1 was a terrific bottom-airflow dripper that had a strong following. Version two features a four-piece design that lets you take the top cap off. Further, they’ve redesigned the center posts to accommodate lower gauge Kanthal, and introduced a Delrin drip tip surround into the top cap. This unique dripper is original and made by Cigreen. The dial is fashioned after the Poseidon RDA, with clicks. Airflow is routed from under the coils. Comes with one dripper, mini Phillips screwdriver, and two pre-wrapped coils. Imported.

Holmes V2 Features Include:

  • Stainless steel
  • 22mm diameter
  • 2 large airflow holes that can be adjusted via clicks on the dial
  • Airflow is directed from under coils
  • Uniquely serialized
  • Not a clone
  • Two post construction
    • Massive post holes for low gauges
  • Very deep juice well
  • Four piece design
  • Screw-off top cap
  • Removable deck for easy building
  • Copper contact, insulated in Delrin to 510

Due to the nature of rebuildable atomizers there is no warranty. These product are intended for experienced users only and require technical knowledge in order to properly use it. Youtube has many video tutorials on how to build these units properly and Originvape.com, its employees and affiliates absolve themselves of all responsibility if a user does not take caution when working with rebuildable atomizers.

The user of this atomizer requires that a user must install wick and wire (coil) in order to use it. This atomizer is not pre-installed with coil, however some rebuildable atomizers are sold fully ready to be utilized, such as the IGO-W. Installation is required with this unit. Wick, wire, cotton, and mesh sold separately.

Rebuildable atomizer coils and wicks have known risks.

Rebuildables are for experts, not average or beginner vapers with no ohm meter or knowledge of how to use an ohm meter, or when an ohm meter must be used, or how electronic devices work. These materials cannot safely be used by the inexperienced or those without working knowledge of electronics.

This is due to the fact that:

1. A rebuildable coil/wick MUST be tested carefully with an ohm meter before it is used.
2. If it is not tested it is entirely the risk of the user.
3. Faulty wicks/coils WILL blow electronic devices and can cause batteries to vent and possibly explode. Be sure you are using the correct batteries with a mechanical mod and a rebuildable atomizer, such as a high drain IMR battery like the 18650 Efest 35A 2500mAh batteries we sell on the site.
4. New coils should ideally be tested and then used first without wicks to ensure that they fire up and do not cause a short. This also helps burn off kanthal machine oil used during manufacture that helps with flavor. This is called “dry burning” and is an important element in building a dripper.
5. No new coil/wick assembly should be used on an electronic device until known to be safe.
6. These items destroy electronic devices if faulty. This is a known issue.

Had high hopes for the Holmes v2 since everyone gave the v1 rave reviews but was very disappointed. This thing leaks all over. Through the air flow control, on the 510 connection. Deck and ring are screwed in tight. Why have all that room for juice if it’s going to leak out everywhere. If the leaking was fixed this would be a good atty, but till then I can’t recommend.

I recieved my Holmes v2 about 4 days ago so I believe I have had ample time to use it and write this review. I was slightly angry to find out there is only 2 usable airflow intake holes on this device compared to the picture which led me to believe there were more than just 2, and with only this amount I am left wanting. Other than this discrepancy, there are several other annoyances about the Holmes v2 and are only saved by a few large pros from this RDA.
Pros – Around 3ml Juice Well
-Detachable Build Deck is so convenient and makes building so easy
    -Easy access AFC Ring
-Flavor is good but is about the same as a Magma
-Improved Top Cap over the v1
-Two Post Design makes for easy building
    -Raised airflow holes reduce leakage
Cons – Airflow has only two holes for intake and is seriously lacking, it only has as much airflow as a fully open Magma which is laughable for an RDA
-Annoying leakage from the SS ring’s threading
-Not much heat dissipation from where the coil sits, again going back to the lack of airflow
    – Any juice that happens to fall into the airflow holes will go straight into the area under the build deck and then will leak through the 510 pin into your 510 connection.
Final Verdict – Maybe I just got a lemon, per say, and I understand that happens, but with all of the hype and raving reviews of the Holmes v1, I expected more from Cigreen and the Holmes v2, I am disappointed to say the least. Though if the airflow actually came stock with four usable holes, it would be a phenomenal device and I would recommend it forgetting about the other problems I have with the Holmes v2. I could only recommend this device if you are ok with decent airflow, good flavor, a 3ml juice well, and a mixed bag of annoyances from this RDA. I am sorry if this review comes off as harsh or crucial, I was just expecting more, my 13$ Tugboat v2 clone has treated me better than this RDA, so the price of this device doesn’t warrant these problems. If with time and more experience with this RDA, my opinion changes I will update this review. Although for now, 3 Stars is my final verdict.

And improvement on the great v1 holmes with the top cap change. Downside is the base lost two airholes where the v1 had 4.

Overall it’s still an excellent flavor rda.

I personally think the QC is 50/50 that I look at other people’s experience with this atty.
I’m on day 2 with this and mine doesn’t leak from air flow holes or bottom 510.
I don’t have V1 to compare it with but all AFC holes are matching great.
    It’s been vaping nicely.

    This DOES leak from 510….
Wondering screwing the deck to “air chamber” with a layer of teflon tape would help…

if this wasn’t leaking through threads under deck, it would be 5 star atty.

Leaks everywhere. If the juice makes it to the bottom deck via the air holes or the threading on the top deck, the juice will leak through the 510 connection and all over/ inside your mod.

Love the V1 but the V2 seems a disappointment. If there is a V3 in the works I wish the following features.

    V1 air flow
    V1 single top cap
    V2 post holes

Move the deck air holes a little closer to the center to allow for a bigger/longer coil.

The AFC is great but I would like to get rid of the knurling. Make it the same brushed style as the top. Maybe an option with black AFC.

Had about 3-4 weeks to play with this atty. After some tinkering with different builds and wicking, I’ve come to like the Holmes very much.

On the day I received it I had about one foot out the door. So I quickly threw on the pre-built coils and provided cotton. Being able to remove the deck made it very easy to install my coils and later I learned it makes the entire device easy to clean. The build went on very quickly and metered at .28 ohms. At that resistance, it provides a very warm vape and dense on flavor.

A few builds later I find this works best with a .5 ohm build using 26 gauge around a 2.4 mm screwdriver with japanese organic cotton or cellu-cotton. The flavor is fantastic and it isn’t too warm a vape.

The juice well is very deep and holds a great deal of drops. If you fill it up to the air posts and tip it over, it will leak through the air holes and possibly the 510 a bit. Overall, I haven’t had too many leaking issues with it unless I fill it up with too much juice and go.

The cons I have with it are with the positive post, which can spin a bit if overtightened. Sadly there isn’t any access under the positive post to tighten it down. There is delrin insulating the drip tip, but it still gets pretty warm after a long pull, particularly at lower builds. And this is a slight niggle, but my device had no logo or serial number info engraved.

I never had the v1 to compare this to, but even with some of the cons this a fantastic vape and I have no major regrets about this purpose.

Had some of the leaking problems mentioned in other reviews. I contacted customer service on a Sunday and received a reply within a few minutes. They immediately shipped replacement parts to address the problem. RDA is now working as well as my newbie builds will allow with no further leaking problems. I am so impressed with the response from Eric that I will check Origin Vapes first for my future purposes.
