Cigreen is a company that has made a complete 360-degree turn in strategy…

Their story is remarkable because it speaks volumes about what kind of changes happened in the vaping industry and how responsive the company was to those changes.

In the world of mech mods, Cigreen is a force to be reckoned with.

Their dual-parallel box mod is an affordable solution that can be used in a wide variety of applications, including competitions. Their mechanical mods range from the Dragon mod to the Excalibur, and they have launched plenty of authentic atomizers, too.

Cigreen’s newest foray is a box mod with an American chip maker, Evolv Technologies. Their Evip DNA200 mod will be out shortly, and they have been honing their skills building box mods up to this point. Now, they are a perfect match for the DNA200.

We asked Zoe, a sales team leader in Cigreen, to elaborate on the future of the company. She started out as a sales associate and her responsibilities grew in time.

When asked about her experience, Zoe mentions,

“Although the company has been in business for 4 years, since 2012, I joined two years ago as a sales associate and have seen many changes. We have three sales teams, comprised in total of 18 associates. I manage one team.”

Their Chinese name is

莘格林

which translates to “Want the Green Vape Life”

— a tribute to environmental concerns.

Cigreen was started by two recent college graduates

“They were good friends and loved to vape…all around them their friends were getting involved in international trade…they had a feeling the vape industry was the place to be and they wanted to get involved doing something that they thought was beneficial to the world,” reflects Zoe.

The vaping industry was already a fast-growing sector in 2012, and Cigreen joined at the right time. Today, companies just getting started in electronic cigarette manufacturing have a harder time finding a market for their products.

Their Chinese name is 莘格林, which translates to “Want the Green Vape Life,” a tribute to environmental concerns.

Zoe says that their practices in the factory always take eco-friendliness into account.

According to Zoe, Cigreen “started out making electronic cigarettes with our own branding, which were eGo pen-style batteries with the Cigreen logo on them.”

She continues,

“…right out of the gate we tried to one-up our competitors with better quality. That attention to detail gave us our reputation and contributed to our prosperity. When we made the Cigreen-X RDA we earned fame. That atomizer sent a lot of attention our way from the vaping community, and since then we also produced the V2 and V3 versions.”

The company really began taking off following the launch of their Cigreen-X RDA. In the same year, they also produced hits like the Holmes and Arrows RDA.

When inquiring about their all time best-selling product, Zoe answers that the dual-parallel Tank Crossing wooden box mod is currently their best seller.

“…our service makes us stand out from the pack. We take care of our customers, whether it is a vendor or a consumer,” confesses Zoe.”

What does it look like inside Cigreen’s day to day operations?

How does the company compare to other operators in the vaping industry?

“We find ourselves in the same category as Kanger and Sigelei, among many others. Although we share the market…our service makes us stand out from the pack. We take care of our customers, whether it is a vendor or a consumer,” confesses Zoe.

Cigreen stresses that they are receptive to any and all criticism, and you will never find their staff unreasonable or unfriendly.

The company does not subcontract production out for someone else to handle. This lets them keep a close eye on quality controls, keeping defective rates low and quality high. The economy of scale also allows them to alter products according to customer desires and preferences. Cigreen would have a harder time achieving this without the means of production.

Zoe also elaborates on the topic of subcontracting in vaping manufacturing…

According to Zoe, many businesses in the electronic cigarette industry subcontract out production to other companies.

Even factories themselves subcontract out work because it can be cheaper to have an outside contractor finish a product, or because of deadlines, she says.

Zoe mentions there are many third party companies doing business in China that lack the means of production.

Such operators are usually middlemen, though sometimes they pose as manufacturers to look larger than they really are.

These smaller companies don’t have service infrastructure. Zoe says this prevents the companies from having the kind of after-sales service that Cigreen offers.

This is the key to having a great reputation…

Building the support structure to back up the company up when defective products surface helps keep customer loyalty strong, Customer loyalty is a notable feature of this industry, and many vapers have favorite brands.

The electronic cigarette industry, says Zoe, is moving steadily towards more integrated features.

“In the coming months, mods will get smarter and smarter, like mobile devices…customers want more added features in the mod.”

Imagine the perfect box mod. It will be charged via wireless technology, be as durable as a Volvo and upgradeable for life. A multi-functional electronic swiss army knife. Because we need extra added value in our gadgets.

The mind wanders with the complexities of future box mod design. The sheer amount of new products being released is mind-boggling.

How does Cigreen keep up with all of it?

What would they change about the product cycle? Zoe elaborates,

“…consumer trends are shifting away from clones, and I agree that there is a ton of new products in the market. Consumers are tired from constantly buying new equipment. They need some kind of stability, they need a longer product life cycle. The challenge we face is to try to slow down. We can’t keep drowning the consumer in new products.”

They expect the life cycle of their newest products to last longer than previous products that they launched, in part due to how long it took to finalize the chip itself for mass production.

Working with Evolv is an important step in making a highly polished product.

The USA is the biggest marketplace for Cigreen’s products, and they are ready to work closely with legislators.

Zoe adds, “Although Cigreen does not know what the future holds for legislation in the United States, we are anxious about it and I think we need to see what happens, when the time comes…we will develop a game plan. We will not abandon our biggest market in the world.”

It is refreshing to know that Cigreen will stay and fight for individual vapers’ rights and the industry as a whole. We will all need to band together to fend off attacks and stand up for our rights as vapers.

The company has shown it can make a durable and affordable box mod. It has inspired customer loyalty in a segment of the industry that desires mechanical mods. Their wooden and metal box mods have carved out a niche in the marketplace.

Like a master at their craft, we can expect Cigreen to build on that expertise and come out with great products in the future.
